Wedding favours/ wedding gifts

Wedding favors are the perfect way for you to say thank you to your guests for sharing your special day, as well as creating a memorable gift that matches your theme. Whether you're having a fairy tale theme or a down home Western reception, you can find a memento that will complete your event.

You want a unique wedding favor that showcases your personal style - forget the miniature plastic cones of almonds, and get creative! You can choose your keepsakes based on the season your ceremony is being held in. Opt for golden autumn candles to complete a fall nuptial, or find mini flower pots with "Thank you for coming" messages for your guests to add flair to an outdoor summer ceremony. You can choose more formal keepsakes like satin pillow sachets for your black tie nuptial, or give your guests a laugh with something cute like "Perfect Pair" flip flop candles for a beach theme.

If your event has an Asian theme, love chopsticks or flower paper fans will keep with the style of your ceremony and reception. No matter what theme you choose, you'll find unique wedding favors to complement your style. Personalized wedding favors show your guests that you care enough to take the extra step and make your mementos really special. Usually, couples personalize their keepsakes with the date of the big day, initials or even a romantic quote or poem.
A personalized wedding favor can be elegant and refined, such as personalized tins with colorful bath confetti or holiday votive candles with your names and the date of the big day. Some couples decide to give a CD of their favorite songs, or even a DVD of the event as a gift, and you can find personalized CD covers with a distinct graphic.

Practical wedding favors give your guests something that they can use again and again in the future. While edible treats or candles are ideal for many celebrations, practical souvenirs create a lasting impression. Look for personalized luggage tags, heart shaped wine toppers, or a modern cup and saucer set for hot drinks. You can easily find wedding favors that won't break your budget. Many times, you'll also receive discounts for larger orders, or you can browse the clearance section for great favor ideas at a low price.

If your budget is tight, edible treats like personalized coffee or tea packets, or themed bubble favors are surprisingly affordable. Also, you can buy mini brocade boxes or stylish gift bags that will hold inexpensive mints or chocolates for your guests. Whatever type of wedding favor you choose for your big day, it's possible to find gorgeous keepsakes for any style of wedding, on any budget!

We'only just begun

"we've only just begun"........... the song by the Carpenters. A perfect choice for couples who choose to share their lives despite the ever changing, fast moving and "everything-for-myself" world today. This was the song me and hubby sang during our Catholic Marriage Preparation Course too............
13 year together and 2 kids later, I dare say this journey of partner hood has no destination or endpoint. It involves the continuous, undying tolerance and faith and giving-in from both parties to enable the picture of marriage to blossom into something worth admiring. And yes, humour and fun are indispensable.......
We happened to be among our friends who tied the knot earlier, so we can truly conclude that wedding and marriage preparations are really "not small matters". If there is no solid planning and is a last minute thingy, then there is no doubt that frustrations and unavoidable outbreaks of arguments and disagreement will take place (did not happen to us, though). So our advice is, PLAN EARLY. PLAN, PLAN, PLAN. Do a lot of research on the different aspects of wedding - dinner venue, wedding gown provider, studio hunting and booking, makeup and photograhy specialists..... the list goes on.
We've hereby compiled a series of useful information for young (and not just young) lovebirds out there in order to share our experience and knowledge. Hopefully the information helps all in the resources hunting and decision making.
